2. **Story Time (10 minutes):**
- Gather students in a circle for story time.
- Read the story of Jesus healing the paralytic from a Children’s Bible or narrate it in simple, age-appropriate language:
- “One day, Jesus was teaching in a house. The house was so full that no one could get in! Some men brought their friend who could not walk (a paralytic) to see Jesus. But they couldn't get through the crowd! So, they made a hole in the roof and lowered him down to Jesus. Jesus saw their faith and said, 'Your sins are forgiven.' Then He told the man to get up, take his mat, and go home. The man got up and walked! Everyone was amazed and praised God.”
- Use a puppet or stuffed toys to act out the story (optional).
3. **Discussion & Reflection (5 minutes):**
- Ask simple questions to ensure comprehension:
- “Who was the person that couldn’t walk?”
- “What did his friends do to help him?”
- “What did Jesus say to the man?”
- Discuss the importance of helping others and having faith.
4. **Activity (5 minutes):**
- Distribute coloring sheets of the story and crayons/color pencils.
- Encourage students to color the sheets while you narrate or play a related song.
- Optional: Give out simple bandages or medical-themed stickers for them to stick on their coloring sheets to represent the man’s healing.
